Niki Simpkin Hill (nee Nicola Louise Smith) was born in Papakura, Auckland, New Zealand in 1965. After working as a graphic designer and illustrator, she studied at Elam School of Fine Arts from 2005 to 2008 graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree in 2009. Nikki Hill was a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards in 2009 and has two artworks purchased by the Wallace Arts Trust. Elam School of Fine Arts Library holds the 'Quasi Collection' booklet (limited edition of one). She has established her own studio at Beach Haven in Auckland and works in a variety of mediums including digital photography, oil painting on canvas and polyester resin cast objects.
