Lindsay Churchland was born in Colac Victoria in 1921 and exhibited in Brisbane in 1944 and 1945. In 1947 he studied at the East Sydney Technical College and then in 1950 travelled to London where he studied at the Chelsea Polytechnic. He taught at the National Art School in Sydney from 1953 and then later became Art Master at King's School, Paramatta. Still life painter, working in oils, he exhibited in Sydney with the Society of Artistsfrom 1952.
