Born in New South Wales in 1909, Coen studied at the Royal Art Society School, Sydney and with Norman lindsay between 1930 to 1940. A watercolourist, she exhibited her floral paintings and landscapes with the Australian Watercolour Institute in Sydney and was a Council Member of the Royal Art Society, from 1973 to 1984 and the Australian Watercolour Institute from 1964 to 1984. travelled to Europe in the 1950s. She died in 1993.
