Born in Melbourne in 1954, Paul Haggith studied in New South Wales, and on travels to the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States of America. He is a "contemporary realist painter whose work is based on water, landscape, figurative and city scape themes". He has exhibited his paintings since 1987 in New South Wales. He was short listed for the Wynne landscape prize at the Art Gallery of NSW in 2007.
