Born in Brisbane in 1869 Richard Randall studied at South Brisbane Technical College and in England. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and on his return to Brisbane became vice president of Queensland Art Society. He died in 1906 leaving a collection of 600 of his paintings to a gallery in the Brisbane Public Library. This was later transfered to Brisbane City Hall.
