About Thomas Allport
A watercolourist and member of the Allport family who have contributed to the development of the visual arts in Tasmania since the arrival of the first Allport in 1831. A commemorative exhibition was held at the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts, State Library of Tasmania in 1981.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1977.
