About Betty (Betsey Linton) Currie
Born in Fremantle, Western Australia in 1905, Betsey Currie studied art at the Perth Technical College, later teaching at the Linton Institute of Art. From 1955 she taught art with the Perth Technical College Extension Service at Fremantle Prison. After retiring in 1965, Betsey Currie she travelled extensively.
Since 1970 we have recorded only one work being sold at auction by this artist, which was in 1982.
