Sandra Black was born in Bairnsdale, Victoria in 1950 and studied in Perth and Melbourne. Originally trained as a teacher, she has been a full-time ceramic artist since 1975, She has held over 31 solo exhibtions and particpated in more than 250 group shows. She is represented in major regional and state galleries, and collections in the UK, USA, Japan, Canada, The Netherlands and New Zealand.
