Hermann Hohaus was born in Silesia, Germany (now Poland) and trained there as a sculptor before emigrating to Australia in 1954. He lectured at RMIT 1961-71 and his works are held in most state gallery collections.

We have records of art auction sales by Hermann Hohaus from 2000 and in total 17 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 14 (82%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $24,400 for Pandora 1966 sold by Sotheby's in August 2014. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
