Born in Indonesia of Dutch-Australian parents in 1946, Anthony Jas arrived in Australia in 1951. He studied Graphic Design and Fine Arts at Randwick Technical College, St. George Technical College, East Sydney Technical College from 1963-1970. and worked as a freelance graphic designer until 1978. Known for his graphic art and watercolour paintings of Australian landscapes, Jas held hhas been showing his work since his first exhibition in Sydney in 1980.
