Australian Aboriginal artist Linda Syddick Napaljarri, also known as Junkata Wakula Napaljarri was born at Jigalong a remote community over 1,000 km north of Perth. She was raised and taught to paint by her uncle, Shorty Lungkata and others of the Kintore community. In 1990 one her works was hung in the Blake Prize for Religious Art and was featured in a touring exhibition. She was also included in Australian Perspecta in 1993 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
