About David Gregson
Born in Western Australia in 1934, David Gregson studied art at the Perth Technical College from 1951 to 1954 and the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris in 1955. He became an oil painter and Fine Arts teacher at the West Australian Institute of Technology. He exhibited in Perth from 1953 and continued exhibiting around Perth until his death in 2001. He won a number of local art prizes and was a finalist in Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 1987.
