Born in Narrandera, New South Wales in 1918, Alison Faulkner studied at the East Sydney Technical Collegeand with G.K. Townshend. A commercial artist for some years, and a teacher and painter, mostly in watercolour, her work is represented in a number of New South Wales municipal collections. She was a Fellow and teacher at the Royal Art Society of NSW, and a finalist in the Art Gallery of New South Wales Wynne Prize in 1961.
