Born in England in 1831, Elizabeth Parsons studied in England and Paris. A painter and teacher, she and her family emigrated to Australia in 1870, settling in Melbourne. She exhibited her watercolours and oil landscapes with the Victorian Academy of Arts, the Art Society of New South Wales and the Australian Artists Association.
