About Gladys Jauncey-Prior
Born in Hertfordshire, England in 1918, Gladys Prior arrived in Australia in 1924. She began painting after retiring from nursing, and studied at the Victorian Artists Society in Melbourne from 1974 to 1982. She was a member of the Victorian Artists Society and the Australian Guild of Realist Artists and exhibited in Melbourne and provincial Victorian cities.
