Australian Aboriginal artist Alkawari Dawson was born at Tjun Tjun rockhole near the Warburton community, a few hundred kilometres further west of Irrunytju. She spent time at Warburton mission but after the death of her first husband she married a man from Irrunytju, and spent most of her time there, visiting Warburton to see her daughters. She participated in group exhibition from 2003.
The total number of works by Alkawari Dawson offered for sale by auction since 2003 is 18, of which 11 (61%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $8,060 for Linudarana (2004) sold by Mossgreen Auctions in April 2016. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2021. Works by Alkawari Dawson are held by the Art Gallery of Western Australia and National Gallery of Victoria.
