Born in New South Wales in 1953, Anne Prowse studied extensively in Melbourne. A realist painter in egg tempera and coloured pencils, she also worked as a botanical illustrator for the National Botanic Gardens in Canberra in 1980. Prowse has exhibited widely and her work is represented in several collections at tertiary institutions.
