Born in London in 1947, Stephen Killick arrived in Australia in 1953. He studied in Adelaide at the South Australia School of Arts from 1965 to 1967, and at the National Gallery Art School in Melbourne in 1971 and 1972. An abstract painter, sculptor and theatre designer, he has also taught painting at tertiary level. He held his first solo exhibition in 1970 and since then has exhibited in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. He has lectured at the Brisbane School of Art in 1974 and the Northern Rivers College of Adult Education in Wagga Wagga in 1978. He was awarded a residency in London in 1972.
