Born in Victoria in 1914, George Browning studied in Melbourne and served as a war artist in New Guinea and Borneo. He is an abstract expressionist painter in oil, acrylic, pen and ink and pencil. Browning has exhibited since 1945 in Canberra and Melbourne.
