Born in India in 1956, Lise Floistad studied in Norway, Sweden and USA, and in 1986 completed a MA (Visual Arts) Sculpture at the Sydney College of the Arts. A painter, sculptor and weaver, she has also had a number of teaching appointments overseas and in Sydney and Canberra. Lise Floistad has exhibited widely overseas and in Sydney and has won a number of awards including the Blake Prize in 1988. Her work is represented in Artbank, and in corporate and institutional collections.
