About Ernest Moffitt
Born in Bendigo, Victoria in 1870 Ernest Moffitt was a member of the second Charterisville group. A painter and draughtsman he worked in pen and ink, and etching. He also exhibited watercoluor views of Melbourne at the Victorian Artists Society from 1893 to 1898. He was also a member of the Cannibal Culb, a circle of bohemian art students established in Melbourne about 1893.
