Born in Sydney in 1943, William Ronald Mathewson is a self taught landscape and seascape artist working in oils, who was active in the Sydney area. He exhibited in Townsville in 1981 and had numerous shows in Brisbane and Sydney in the 1980s. He was aawrded several provincial art prizes in 1982 and 1983.
