Born in 1912, Australian Aboriginal Paddy Jaminji was a stockman and when this work dried up, he took up painting, becoming the founder of the contemporary painting style of the East Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Our database records art auction sales of works by Paddy (Jampin) Jaminji from 1997 and in total 95 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 62 (65%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $170,800 for Hills of Turkey Creek C.1984 sold by Bonhams in June 2013.
