About Mark Norval
Born in Perth in 1958 Mark Norval studied at Nedlands College of Advanced Education under Leon Pericles. A painter and teacher he recieved the 2002 Centenary Medal, created in 2001 to commemorate the Centenary of Federation of Australia, for his contribution to the arts. He lives and works in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and is the six-time outright winner of the Kimberley Art Prize.
