Born in Victoria in 1954, Marion Borgelt studied in at the South Australian School of Art in Adelaide, with post graduate studies in New York in the early 1980s, In 1986 she became Artist/Tutor in Residence at the Canberra School of Art. She has exhibited in most Australian capital cities and overseas, her first solo exhibition being in Adaliaide in 1976. Marion Borgelt won a number of art awards in the 1970s and 80s.
