Born in Melbourne in 1947, James Clayden studied Art & Design at the Preston Institute of Technology in Melbourne. An abstract painter and film maker, he has exhibited mainly in Melbourne since 1970, and in Canberra and Sydney. He received an award for the best telemovie, Banff Television Festival, Canada in 1987.
