Born in England in 1855, the Rev. Dicker, sketcher and clergyman was sent to Australia by the London Anglican Society for the Propogation of the Gospel after his ordination in 1881, as a missionary to the Clarence River region of New South Wales. By the 1880s he was in Tasmania, and became the Rector of Hamilton, Tasmania.
