Born in Victoria in 1936, Wykeham Perry is mainly a self-taught artist but his style has developed through his admiration for artists such as Arthur Streeton, Elioth Gruner, Robert Johnson and Rubery Bennett. A realist painter in oils, he is an exhibiting member of the Victorian Artists Society, and a member of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists. Between 1972 and 2003 he won numerous prizes in suburban and country art shows.

We have records of art auction sales by Wykeham Perry from 1979 and in total 170 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 113 (66%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,200 for Acheron Pastoral sold by Leonard Joel in August 1999. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023.
