Born in Melbourne in 1959 Christine Johnson was awarded a Diploma of Fine Art at Caulfield Institute of technology in 1979 and a Graduate Diploma of Art from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1980. She taught at tertiary level from 1986 to 1990. A teacher and painter she has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows from 1989 in Sydney and Melbourne. She has been commissioned to provide a designs for the Victorian Tapestry Workshop in 2004, The Park Hyatt Hotel in Melbourne and the Crown Promenande Hotel in Melbourne.
