About Peter Kirk
A Melbourne artist, Peter Kirk studied at the Artisan School of Design in Carlton, Victoria in 1867 and the National Gallery of Victoria Art School c1870. A landscape and portrait artist, he was a colleague of Fred McCubbin. He was the first president of the Past NGV Gallery Students Society, formed in 1916.
