Born in New Zealand in 1945, Alison Ryde is a Christchurch based painter and watercolourist. She paints New Zealand and European scenes, including townscapes, seascapes and landscapes and has been exhibiting since the mid-sixties. She moved to Umbria, Italy in the mid-2000s, where she now lives and works.
The total number of works by Alison Ryde offered for sale by auction since 1988 is 109, of which 65 (60%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,857 for Collingwood, Nelson sold by Watson's Auctioneers in October 2005.
