Born in Melbourne in 1902, Lloyd is best known for his impressionist landscapes, portraits and still lifes. paintings. He studied at the National Gallery School, Melbourne, where he won a student prize in 1918. He exhibited at the Atheneum Gallery in Melbourne over many year and was a finalist in the Art Gallery of New South Wales Archibald Prize in 1936 and 1940.
