Born in Sydney in 1927 Beryl Anderson studied at East Sydney Technical College. She later moved to Geelong in 1967 where she studied for a Diploma of Fine Art at the Gordon Institute of Technology and began painting. She was a figurative expressionist painter of landscapes in oil and acrylic, and a member of the Victorian Artists Society and exhibited at the Royal Artists Society in Melbourne in 1976
