Born at Hermannsburg near Alice Springs in 1916, Australian Aboriginal artist Reuben Pareroultja commenced painting in 1945 after working at the Mission and in Alice Springs. A member of the Arunta Tribe, he painted watercolour landscapes of central Australia.

We have records of art auction sales by Reuben Pareroultja from 1979 and in total 89 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 67 (75%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,520 for Bringing in the Killers Late 1940s sold by Sotheby's in October 2006. This year one work has been offered for sale. Works by Reuben Pareroultja are held by the Queensland Art Gallery and National Gallery of Australia.
