About Walter Brookes Spong
Born in England in 1851, Spong arrived in Australia in 1887. He was a painter and theatrical designer and a foundation member of the Australian Artists' Association. He returned to England in 1898 where he exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters and at the Royal Academy.
