Born in Melbourne in 1962, Angus Jones studied At Prahran College in Melbourne from 1980 to 1981 and at the Phillip Institute from 1983 to 1984. he was an early member of Roar Studios founded in Fitzroy in 1982. He has exhibited his paintings in Melbourne since 1986, and his work was included in the exhibition of the Loti and Victor Smorgan Collection of Australian Art at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne, and exhibitions at the National Gallery of Victoria in 1998 and Heide Museum in 1990.
