Born in Perth in 1951, Sally Morgan studied psychology and library skills in Perth. A writer, painter and printmaker, she published her autobiography in 1987 - 'My Place' - which traced her Aboriginal heritage. She has exhibited her prints and drawings since 1986 in most Australian cities and overseas, holding her first solo show in 1989. Sally Morgan has won a number of literary and art awards.
