Born in 1969 Peter Stichbury graduated from University of Auckland Elam School of Fine Arts in 1997, and the same year he received the Wallace Art Award in supporting him in his postgraduate studies at The University of Auckland. Painting in acrylic and producing Giclee prints, he is known for "all too perfect" faces. An exhibition of his work, The Alumni was held at Dunedin Public Art Gallery in 2009.
