Born in Gore, New Zealand in 1950, Anne Rush studied at Christchurch College of Education in 1970 and Qualified (with distinction) and taught at primary level for 11 years and also was a partner in a fruitgrowing business. She is a contemporary abstract painter and travelled in the Mediteranean, Turkey and Egypt to gain inspiration for her work. She has exhibited since 1983 throughout New Zealand.
We have records of art auction sales by Anne Rush from 1988 and in total 54 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 38 (70%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $3,511 for Profusion of Orange Poppies sold by International Art Centre in March 1988. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023.
