Born in England in 1898, Alan Stubbs moved to Australia (date unknown) and from the 1930s was a Perth based artist. He was a member of the Perth Society of Artists in the 1950s and had 14 exhibitions in Perth between 1946 and 1973. Alan Stubbs won the Hotchin Watercolour Prize in 1960. His work is represented in the Fremantle Art Gallery.
