About Shona Nunan
Shona Nunan born in 1959 in Daylesford, Victoria. Shona commenced her Fine Art course at RMIT in Melbourne in 1976, and in that year also had her first solo exhibition of sculpture and displays her work at the Hans Knorr Galley in Emerald, Victoria. She married Michael Cartwright, a sculptor and artist in 1981 and they have lived and exhibited throughout the eastern states of Australia, as well as travelling and undertaking commissions extensively overseas. In 2005 they moved to Ponte a Serraglio in Italy, and now operate out of studios in Provence, France and Tuscany, Italy.where they now are now based. Since moving to Italy, Shona has undertaken numerous commissions with her husband including in Hong Kong, China, Germany, Netherlands and Saudi Arabia, annd of course Italy and Australia.
The total number of works by Shona Nunan offered for sale by auction since 2003 is 7, of which 6 (86%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $20,864 for Pregnant Girl sold by Shapiro Auctioneers in December 2021. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2021.
