Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Dangerfield was a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute and secretary from 1953. Primarily a painter of landscapes and seascapes, she won a number of awards in provincial art shows in new South Wales in the 1950s. Her work is represented in the Art Gallery of New South Wales and in the National Collection, Canberra.
