About Frank Crozier
Born in Victoria in 1883, Crozier studied at the Melbourne National Gallery School and in London and America. Principally a landscape artist, he exhibited throughout Australia and at the Royal Academy. He enlisted in the AIF in 1915 and became a member of the topographical section. Then in 1918 he was appointed an official war artist.
The total number of works by Frank Crozier offered for sale by auction since 1975 is 80, of which 54 (68%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,420 for On the Beach sold by Leonard Joel in March 1995. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022.
