Born in Mostar, Yugoslavia in 1934, Memnuna Vila-Bogdanich studied extensively in Europe including obtaining a Masters degree in printmaking frrom the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1962. She exhibited in solo shows in Belgrade in the late 1950s and first exhibited in Australia in Perth in 1972. A painter and printmaker, she was a member of the Print Council of Australia. She has received extensive awards for printmaking throughout Australia and Europe.
