Born in New South Wales in 1952, Mostyn Bramley-Moore studied art at the University of Sydney and at the Pratt Institute in New York. He has been resident artist at several overseas universities, and lectures in art at tertiary level in Australia. Bramley-Moore has regularly exhibited his semi- abstract paintings since 1972 in most Australian capital cities and in the United Kingdom.
The total number of works by Mostyn Bramley-Moore offered for sale by auction since 1994 is 45, of which 27 (60%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $2,640 for Kipling's Well sold by Sotheby's in March 2004. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2022. Works by Mostyn Bramley-Moore are held by the National Gallery of Australia, Auckland Art Gallery and a further three major public national galleries (see list below).
