About Anton Holzner
Born in Austria in 1935, Anton Holzner studied art before his arrival in Australia in 1955 where he taught art at secondary and tertiary level. A painter, printmaker and theatre designer, he has held solo shows since 1958 in Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney and in Vienna.
We have records of art auction sales by Anton Holzner from 1971 and in total 19 works by the artist have been offered for sale, of which 14 (74%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $8,400 for Painters Feast sold by Artemis Auctions in May 2009. No works have been offered for sale this year, and the last sale we have recorded for the artist was in 2023.
