About Michael Ramsden
Michael Ramsden, a modern genre painter in oil and acrylics was born in Sydney in 1947. He is largely self-taught, although he did live, work and study in the United Kingdom from 1967 to 1972, and informally studied with Donald Friend and Justin O'Brien. While in London he exhibited in 1970 and 1972 and also exhibited in Melbourne and Sydney in the 1970s. He died on 17th March 2016, at his home in Tambaroora near Bathurst, New South Wales.

The highest price recorded for the artist is $18,000 for Serpentine Creek, Tasmania 2003 sold by Deutscher~Menzies in June 2007. This year one work has been offered for sale.
