Born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1953, Heather Busch (nee Saville) studied at University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts and Wellington Teachers College. A figurative painter working in oils, she is also a mixed media sculptor, glass artist, book illustrator and photographer. Her works are represented in several public collections. She has illustrated several books with writer Burton Silver including Why Paint Cats?, Why Cats Paint and Dancing with Cats.
The total number of works by Heather Busch offered for sale by auction since 1993 is 26, of which 17 (65%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $3,306 for Hostage sold by Dunbar Sloane in November 2006.
