Born in Canton, China in 1962, Ben Ho showed an interest in art from an early age. He studied at Canton Fine Art School from 1978-1984, and completed his post-graduate studies in 1988 prior to his arrival in New Zealand later that year. A painter in oils and watercolour, his favoured subjects include landscapes, seascapes, still life and flower studies. Ben Ho has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand since 1991, winning numerous awards including the Otago Regional Award, the KG Frazer Award and the Gold Medal Award at the Royal Easter Show. He is a working member of the N.Z. Fellowship of Artists. He has also taught throughout New Zealand.
