About Michael Doolan
Michael Doolan was born in Melbourne in 1959. He completed a Bachelor of Arts (Ceramic Design) at Chisholm Institute of Technology, Melbourne in 1981, and graduated with a Master of Arts at Monash University, Melbourne in 2001. In 2013 he graduated with a PhD from the Faculty of Art Design & Architecture, Monash University, Melbourne. A ceramic artist, he has exhibited in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast since 2003. Amongst his awards and prizes are a gold medal at the 14th International Biennale, Ceramique d'Art, Vallauris, Francein 1995 and a London Studio Residency, Australia Council for the Arts in 2002. He is currently a senior lecturer at the Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney.
